Conducting and Directing
Every great ensemble needs a great leader, so we make sure there are opportunities for those who want to develop their skills in helping to bring the best out of the musicians they work with.
Training
Opportunities for prospective conductors to learn their trade without studying at a conservatoire are rare. Since we started our first orchestra over 20 years ago, we have provided a platform for trainees to learn the principles of conducting and put them into practise with live orchestras and small ensembles, all under the watchful eye of our vastly experienced director Jan Modelski.
If you are interested in becoming a conductor or musical director and would relish the chance to learn in a real musical environment, we'd love to hear from you. Get in touch with us here.
Guest conducting
Over the years, we have several renowned professionals to work with us including outstanding young composer and composer, Adam Kornas, and the new junior-fellow conductor of the Royal Northern College of Music, Marco Bellasi.
We are always on the lookout for talented and enthusiastic conductors and directors to get involved with our ensembles. If you'd like to talk to us about opportunities with our ensembles, please contact us here.
