Established in 2019 as the Jan Modelski Pop Orchestra, this ensemble's repertoire strays from the conventional classical set - instead, exploring the wonderful world of pop, theatre and musical arrangements. Although their early progress was hampered by the COVID pandemic, the orchestra have since performed at several venues to rave reviews and continue to enjoy a busy concert schedule, often joined by their friends at the Wirral Big Band.

 

Despite their recent name change to better represent the area in which they are based, Wirral Pop Orchestra continue to be directed by Jan Modelski and have huge plans for further success in 2024 and beyond.

WPO are looking to grow in numbers and welcome new members of all instrument groups to join with no audition necessary.
